DIY Easy To Make Ear Pins

Etsy has been one of my inspirations in the past week, I found so many pretty ear pins, these are one are my favorites. I really wanted to try and make my own, and was really surprised how simple it is, you can make a bunch in no time. One of the models is very similar to my DIY Minimal Bar Earings, if you haven't seen it check it out, those were also super easy to make,

Also, if you don't like ear pins you can wear them down like a normal earing, it looks just as good.

After sanding, the edge was still hurting me a bit, so because I'm lazy and didn't want to keep sanding some more I put a little bit of nail polish in the end.

Wich of the models is your favorite? The beaded one or the silver bar?
Talk to you soon,

  4. I watched your video because I couldn't figure out why you would need the glue. A much easier way to make these would have been to use a head pin, they come in gold, silver, copper, or colors. put the beads on in the order you want, the "head" on the pin keeps them on, and then bend the head pin the same way you did the memory wire. If you use a fairly small bead as the last one, say an 11/0 or 12/0, it shouldn't slide around the bend, or you could glue it if you wish.

  5. Very good. Thanks for the tutorial. I want to try the bars. Are they metal or glass? I've just gotten into making the 'climbing'earrings which are the same concept except they curve slightly to follow the ear. I use a head pin and on the ends closest to the bead, I use a crimp bead to keep the beads in place and it gives me something to clamp onto to make the bend without breaking any beads. I sort of reverse the order of assembly.
